BRETTTÛNE 75cl BOTANIC
This beer underwent an extra fermentation with a brettanomyces yeast in a French oakwood barrel. Therefore we call this beer a Bretttûne beer, this beer style is a combination of the word Brett and Tûne (Frisian for barrel) and the three t's stand for the trinity: Beer, Barrel and Brett. The beer style Bretttûne distinguishes itself by a complex fruity character, a slight sourness and subtle vanilla because of the oakwood. A beer which you could easily store in a dark and cool place to let it ripen for years. The brettanomyces yeast is a true artist, the brewer often sees beautiful images come into being when he looks through the hole in the barrel. The 75cl bottles with illustrations are an ode to the brettanomyces yeast.
Seizoensbier, BARREL AGED BEERS
QUAD STOUT AGUARDIENTE SAUTERNESS RED WINE
A mixture of three barrels and two beers. Quadrupel and Stout on barrels of Aguardiente, Sauterness and red wine. The beer is barrel aged, that is the ripening of beer on barrels which contained other beverages like whisky, bourbon or rum. This gives the beer even more complexity and taste of vanilla, wood and the drink which has been in the barrel before.
