'Liwwadder Bieroproer' is comic, in the dialect of the Frisian capital Leeuwarden, about the beer riot of 1487. At the end of the 15th century it's only allowed to sell beer in Leeuwarden which is brewed in the city. However the beer from Leeuwarden is of such poor quality and when beer from Harlem is smuggled into the city, the beer riot breaks out.
Besides the comic the book contains a historic explanation about the beer riot by J.A. Mulder.
The scenario is written by Richard Bos, Alexander Russchen drawed the story and Gerard Boersma took care of the Leeuwarden dialect. The book contains two bier mats.
